Day 1 of training on the CRJ200 (06/24/2024)
Had a couple days off and then right back at it. Jump seated on a United flight to get to my starting airport which means I've officially bummed a ride from the 3 largest air carriers.
Got in to town yesterday and went to this airplane-themed restaurant. The waitresses wore pilot uniforms.
It was hot and dry in Colorado Springs just like I remember it this time last year. No car to go exploring this time though.
Flying started today. Some pictures from the early morning festivities. You can see how much lower to the ground the CRJ200 is compared to the 700 and 900:
Flights went well and got progressively bumpier into the afternoon. Landings were good. Even had a 2 hour break today. The microwave didn't work:
Finished early afternoon and got some pizza for dinner. Caught a storm during the walk there and saw this neat rainbow:
Flew for 5.7 hours today for a total of around 1135 hours.
